Massive northern soul 45 gem featuring THE CASHMERES on the HEM label out of Washington, D.C., from approximately the late sixties. 

Titles are “Show Stopper” and “Don’t Let The Door Hit Your Back.” 

This is a stock copy, label is orange with black print.  Catalog number is HEM 1000.

Condition is very fine, but mixed.  Both sides are extremely clean and have obviously been played a very small number of times and handled with care.  "Show Stopper" is especially fine, beautiful EX.  Would grade NM except for one very tiny mark that lightly sounds for approximately four turns of the record, not a serious flaw, but must be noted.  "Don't Let The Door Hit You" plays with a slight amount of surface noise in the early going, but this subsides and the overall playing is very fine.  I have provided sound clips of both sides so you can hear for yourself.  Labels are clean and pristine except for a small sticker and index notation in neat pen on the Showstopper side.  Nicest copy of this rare gem that I have ever handled.
