CARNIVORE – LP US'85 – 'Carnivore' – Thrash Metal, Venom Type O Negative

This is a 10-track LP by US act CARNIVORE which I bought back in the 80's. This is the press on ROADRUNNER Records. Songs include: Predator / Carnivore / Armageddon / Legion Of Doom and other tracks. This is the band by Pete Steele before TYPE O NEGATIVE. This is one proper Thrash LP and although often tagged as Crossover and compared to bands such as AGNOSTIC FRONT which is in there all right but I'd say this one has early VENOM written all over, particularly vocally, and referring to songs such as 'Predator', 'Carnivore' with the Crossover element down other tunes and backing shouts. For the time, this stuff was intense! Awesome LP

Condition of the item: Good

Optical grading: Good, with some scuffmarks and hairlines on both sides that DO NOT affect play. No scratches or deep marks though

Plays: Very Good

Sleeve: Very Good; album has been kept in the poly sleeve ever since the 80's when I bought it! Only a slight bit of . Some slight ringmark elevation, but no white ringwear marks. Some light surface wrinkles across.

GRADING AND PACKAGING:

I try to provide as much detail as possible about the condition of the item; both sleeve and vinyl.  Most records in general have a few little ticks in the beginning and ending grooves, even near new ones! I include a clear, poly plastic sleeve with all records, and all items are mailed in a cruciform, hard cardboard box with an extra stiffener for extra protection.
