Budgie - Never Turn Your Back on a Friend ? Original 1973 LP • UK MCA • Listen!

I am selling my complete 70'sand 80's rock collection so be sure to check out my other listings

Welsh trio Budgie produced four of the very best British rock albums to start their career.  In my opinion guitarist Tony Bourge is an unsung hero, some of his guitar work is extraordinary, while the high pitched vocals and Rickenbacker bass licks of Burke Shelley have often drawn comparision with Geddy Lee of Rush. Never Turn Your Back on a Friend was the third and, arguably, the best in the sequence with some superb tracks including ‘Breadfan’, You’re the Biggest Thing Since Powdered Milk’ and ‘Parents'.
I am listing all of their first four albums (Budgie, Squawk, In For the Kill and Never Turn Your Back on a Friend) so be sure to check out my other listings.
Issue details This is the original 1973 UK release. A remastered version was issued in 1974. Catalog Number MDKS 8010 Vinyl Matrix: Side 1... 7-LNMG-277-2L, Side 2… 7-LNMG-278-1L
Condition Some surface scratches visible on vinyl. Labels very clean.

Gatefold sleeve is in good condition, some signs of wear, slight creasing in places and ink worn in places, see photos for details. Original inner sleeve is a little worn with a few dog eared edges but basically intact and the inner cellophane protects the vinyl nicely.
NOTE: I have not removed the ‘Boots the Chemist’ stock label from the front as it will take some of the surface off the cover. I Could say I have left it as a bit of social history!
Playback Side 1 - Quality is generally very good a couple of ticks and minor static crackle audible during the quiet 3rd track. Side 2 - 1 tick early on, some light crackle, couple of very faint ticks towards end of track 1, light static between tracks, some light static during quiet 2nd track as well as an audible scratch (two pops) towards the end, very light static during quiet bits of third track but generally pretty good.
NOTE: I always play back through headphones to judge quality so many minor faults I list may not even be audible through speakers.
