Buddy Holly and the Crickets
Coral Records New Zealand CL-30,814 Mono.
To say information on this release is minimal is putting it mildly. No year of release but looks like very early 60's.I cannot find any information on Coral Records New Zealand catalogue numbers. The 'dicky bow-tie' cover is a hand tinted version of the release photo by Coral USA for their european singles/ep release.
Catalogue sub reference - Side One MG6036. Matrix run out grooves - MX10799.
Catalogue sub reference - Side Two MG6037. Matrix run out grooves - MX10800.
Vinyl Condition VG+. There are scuffs and a scratch on both sides. Nothing deep enough to click or pop. There is low hiss and crackle throughout. May not have been the best of pressings. Plays through absolutely fine. Record flat, no warps. No skidding or jumps. A few spindle marks. Both labels clean, no writing.
Cover Condition EX-. Sleeve is single fold with double flip overs, both sides clarifoil laminated. A small amount of ring wear . Slight creasing and also some lifting of clarifoil at opening. The bottom flip over is starting to split at the centre. Still in general overall clean strong condition. No writing.
