Description

I bought this many years ago at a used record store and never played it until today!  I was very lucky to find it after many buying trips to used record stores in Boston. I knew it was rare and gets excellent reviews.

It has the Robert Ludwig initials in the deadwax, which means it was mixed and recorded at Sterling Studios. This guarantees the best sound possible. Ludwig is known for his superior work on Led Zep II, Def Leppard, and many other classic recordings. He is a master engineer.

Today, I cleaned it carefully with a drop of dishwasher liquid and water, rinsed, and then used a microfiber cloth to get into the grooves. Know that it was clean to begin with!

I played it all the way through listening with headphones. There is not a lot of static. No scratches. I got a single very quick, minor skip at the end of Side 1 because my tracking setting on my turntable was too light (Set at 1 with 3.75 being the highest.) The tracking was so light that the arm would swing at the lightest touch. I increased it very slightly to 1.25 and now it plays through fine. So, I'm giving the record itself Near Mint grade because there are no problems. The cover shows wear of course.

* I played it on my high-end Yamaha turntable that has a brand new Audia-Technica cartridge and stylus needle at very light settings.

A very young Stevie Nicks has a great clear voice and perfect harmonies with Lindsey. He's one of my favorite guitarists. Any Fleetwood Mac fan will love this!  Not a bad song on the whole album. The song "Lola (my love)" has the same beginning as the song "We will never break the chain" recorded a few years later.
