This record is part of an estate sale that previously belonged to a US military family whose parents were soldiers in the Vietnam conflict.
These parents were stationed in Long Binh Post (Tổng kho Long Bình), a U.S. Army base located in Long Bình, Đồng Nai between Biên Hòa and Saigon, Vietnam. The base functioned as a U.S. Army base, logistics center, and major command headquarters for United States Army Vietnam. During their service, this couple collected records (and other items) that were obviously counterfeited by the Taiwan/Vietnamese for profit and sold to these American soldiers.
This was one of the records “import pressings” that was brought back home from the parents after their tour in Vietnam was complete. These records, therefore, factor collectability due to their historical value from that time period, more than that of the quality or veracity of their vinyl authenticity.
Please look at the pictures for the best understanding of the vinyl’s condition. It was kept very well with no major damage or scratches noted on the vinyl or on the sleeve and it’s plastic holding.
The covers were printed on paper instead of cardboard and looked like pale reproductions, which were then wrapped in thin cellophane. The numbers and identifiers are most commonly counterfeit with a few containing proper identification and licensure. This record is assumed to be counterfeited, but I have no way of knowing for sure.
