A masterpiece that reflects America in the early 1960s when it was shaken by social unrest The second of Sony's in-house integrated analog records, Bob Dylan, was the second album released in 1963, and although it was No. 22 on the US charts, it was a successful work that won No. 1 in the UK. Protest songs A-1 "Blown by the Wind" and A-6 "A Hard Rain's Rain", which were widely sung through the civil rights movement and the anti-war movement, and became the catalyst for making Dylan's name known to the world. These social songs seem to have been influenced by her lover Suze Rotolo at the time, and her appearance not only appears on the album cover, but also appears and disappears in some love songs. A rich story is spun out in every song, such as A-2 "Girl from the North Country," which is an arrangement of Irish folk songs, and her talent as a poet has blossomed. A masterpiece of the folk era and one of Dylan's masterpieces.
