You are bidding on a Bob Dylan Self-Titled ST Debut COLUMBIA LP 6-Eye CS 8579 Stereo 1962 Orig. Press. A unique aspect of this copy is what seems to be a factory stamp on the back cover that states ‘7 D 4’. It’s unclear whether the former is a factory stamp or a library stamp of some kind for cataloging purposes. I grade the jacket VG as there are no seam splits, only some light ring ware and other general ware. The record does not have any locking skips or stylus jumps. Despite the heavy scratching on both sides the LP plays through well. While the majority of the songs have little to no crackling on Side 2 about half have considerable crackling on Side 1. For the reasons mentioned I grade the playback of Side 1 VG- and Side 2 VG. I’ve included the worst sounding song from Side 1 as a point of reference in a recording below. The LP was graded based off playback from a Technics SL-QD33 turntable. Side 1 is XSM-55621-1E D11 (or ii)
Side 2 is XSM-55622-1F T D11 (or ii)
The D I mentioned above is a special character so I'm not certain on that or the "11". These matrix numbers do correspond with a promo pressing on Discogs but I am missing any promo stickers.
