Description
This is a Stereo small hole 7 inch 45 rpm EP from the Bob Dylan “Nashville Skyline” album that was released in 1969. It has liner notes by Johnny Cash and is from my small Bobby collection. I’ve had it since the 70’s and don’t recall where I obtained it. Back then I contacted a major Dylan collector here in SD, and he did not know anything about it. I recently saw an auction for one and it was stated that it was from Malaysia/Singapore and I found some information on a web site that states is was from Singapore, but I cannot verify this. I assume it is a foreign release, but I’m not sure from where.
As for condition, the cover has some light scuffs/indentations and a couple of tiny scratches to the glossy front, and a couple of scuffs on the back-really very minor. There are two creases to the upper corners-one visible from the left front and one visible from the left back; plus two smaller ones visible on the bottom left and right front; also some very light edge wear. I feel all these are minor, but needed to be mentioned. I think some of this is visible in my pics.
As for the record itself, I played it through my system (Mac, Dual, Grado), and it sounds fantastic, very clean and full-I almost forgot how good vinyl sounds. There are two audible pops/clicks near the end of “Lay Lady Lay”-that’s it; no skips-a great sounding record.
I’ve tried to describe anything that could be a problem to anyone, but I feel this is a super item and would be a great addition to any Dylan collection!
