Description
v/a "BANDS THAT COULD BE GOD: THE CONFLICT COMPILATION" LP (1984, Gerald Cosloy/Conflict, US) - Rare 1984 vinyl snapshot of the underground music scene, put together by fanzine writer Gerald Cosloy. Featuring blistering hardcore from Deep Wound and The Outpatients, unique and energetic punk from the Moving Targets (before they went all-out melodic punk), and early, formative tracks by bands that would later become indie bands like Salem 66, Sorry and Christmas - but in much punker form here. There's also some weird twists into experimental territory by bands like Beanbag. Somehow the variety helps hold this excellent comp. together. No insert. The vinyl and cover are in excellent condition - almost like it was only played a few times!! Super rare, cult collectible!
