Description

Very rare first Canadian release. PLEASE READ DESCRIPTION BELOW. I understand that this album has many different times of release and several different formats. I really worked hard on this one, to assure authenticity. XSM 58719 3AK (In Dead Wax) Side 1.

(PLEASE LOOK AT ALL PICTURES) The front sleeve of the first Canadian release of Freewheelin' Columbia CS 8786 had an error - the withdrawn track listing as shown in pictures. However, the record inside was the regular release. The rear sleeve had the revised track listing but with only 12 songs listed, omitting "Don't Think Twice, It's All Right" even though it was on the album.

I have listened to the album 3 times, and it sounds great, with very minimal crackle. Listening to this album will transport you to a time (pre-Beatles in America) when thought and poetry in song meant a little more, politically, socially, and spiritually. This is the real article, straightforward and simple, and will continue to hold value, as long as we perpetuate the spirit of what the artist is saying. I've listed it as (EX) because there are not many of these left in this condition, unless still sealed, or sitting in someone's attic for 50+ years. This cover is particularly unique because of the track listings differing from front to back. This one has the "Gamblin Willie" "Oxford town" on front right lower corner. (Try to find this on any of these albums listed on ebay, and you will understand why this is so rare.) The only notable defect on the cover is the slightly creased left bottom corner (See Pictures!). Please ask any questions you might have, I will do my best to answer them. ENJOY!
