Hi -
You are looking at an unusual lot of (3) double LP albums for a total of 6 records / 12 sides. I am selling off an entire collection of Bob Dylan records, magazines, etc., and this is the first of many auctions to come. This lot consists of the following albums:
Bob Dylan and the Band - The Basement Tapes (Columbia Records #C2-33682)
Blind Boy Grunt and the Hawks – The Basement Tapes Volume 1 (Surprise records #BD-1967A)
Blind Boy Grunt and the Hawks – The Basement Tapes Volume 2 (Surprise records #BD-1967B)
These records are all in great condition. The jackets show very little wear, and the discs themselves look like they’ve never been played (if they have been, it couldn’t have been often.) NOTE: The jacket for Volume I does have a very minor crease on one corner, and the seam along the bottom edge has come apart a little bit. This has not been glued or taped, however, and the jacket overall is in great shape.
My understanding is that the Blind Boy Grunt albums are rare & out of print. The tracks on these albums are the “lost” basement recordings and are and not the tracks on the Columbia basement tapes LP. These don’t seem to come up on eBay very often.
SHIPPING: These albums will be shipped via USPS Media Mail in protective plastic sleeves and packed in a secure foam-lined box that is normally used for laptop computers.
NOTE: I am not a record dealer or a Dylan collector; I am just selling this stuff off for a friend. I reserve the right to end this auction early as these could be sold locally as well.
