Description
This is an absolutely beautiful copy of the "I Want You" picture sleeve by Bob Dylan from 1966. Regarding the 45 record, this came from a man who was a stereo representative for Philco record consoles and TVs in the 60s. His job included setting up store displays at various department and individual stores in Southern California. If you notice, the 45 record here has a Philco stamp on one side of the labels. Apparently this 45 record came from a promotional box set called "Philco Invites You to a Disc-ago-go" which was given out to buyers of Philco stereos as a promotion. There were two volumes and each box contained five singles from various artists and those artists were randomly chosen so the 45s were not the same artists in each box. Each single was stamped with "Philco" on one of the sides.
The picture sleeve is in beautiful condition; no seam splits, no finger tears, no wear ring on either side, great colors, crisp and clean. A crispy critter. Graded at near mint 8/9 out of 10.
The 45 record is also in beautiful condition. Using a 100 watt bulb to grade by, the vinyl is near mint is near mint 8/9 out of 10 on the 'A' side with beautiful, dark red labels. On the "Tom Thumb's Blues" side, and using a 100 watt bulb to grade by, the vinyl is also lovely. If you shed the light just right on it, you can see a bit of a scuff at the very beginning of the record that does not affect the play in any way. Graded at least near mint8. Both sides play clear, crisp, with great fidelity. Once again, as you can see from the photos, the labels are also near mint. A beautiful piece. The last two photos are the front and back of the package in protective sleeve you will receive. Questions?? Please email me.
