Description
Blues Unlimited #3 July 1963
Third issue of the pioneering blues magazine that spearheaded the "Blues Revival" of the 60s with contributions by John Broven and Mile Leadbitter. This issue, published approximately 6 months before Beatlemania swept the U.S., has an editorial with a curt dismissal of the "The wild R&B sound of the Beatles"!! There's articles about Howlin' Wolf, Cajun music, Casey Bill Weldon, Blues psuedonyms and record reviews of John Lee Hooker and Robert Pete Williams,
The magazine is 20 pages; 10 13" x 8 " sheets with print on both sides held together by 2 staples. I think a mimeograph type process was used to print the magazine except for the "header". The magazine is in quite good condition with light to moderate overall wear, especially at the corners. The binding which is 2 staples is still tight and there are no dog eared pages. The paper has yellowed and faded, but is not brittle .
Shipping is $4 in the U.S. Media Mail. Overseas buyers wait for invoice.
