Description
Vinyl: NM- (See grades below - All original gloss, NO scratches/scuffs, One small area of spotting that does not affect play)
Sound: VG (See grades below - Audible noise [crackle/hiss] in some songs. Based on the gorgeous condition of the vinyl, this MAY clean up.)
Label: NM/VG+ (See grades below - Small tear [possibly sticker removal] one side. See pics)
Cover: Almost NM- (See grades below - High gloss, Laminated cover with a light crease [approx 3"] on lower back cover along the spine, no shelf wear, no ring wear, no writing, no splits, etc)
Inner: Plain white
Year: Unknown
Notes: Scarce pressing in Gorgeous condition. I acquired this one in a collection of other 1950's -1960's blues lps, but I have to admit my ignorance on this one. By all indications, this is NOT an original pressing. However, I can find no information on what or when this one was pressed. It is NOT the French pressing.
First, the cover is NOT flipback, but is of the lighter cardboard common for UK pressings. Laminate on the cover appears to be a single piece that stretches from approximately 3 mm from the opening of the cover on the front to 3 mm from the opening on the back and about the same 3 mm from the top/bottom edges.Liner notes insert is NOT present, but "Liner notes by Mack McCormick are to be found within" is printed on the back cover.
I can find NO reference to "Limited edition" anywhere on the record. On the back cover, the printing info reads as follows: PRINTED IN ENGLAND BY WEST BROTHERS PRINTERS LIMITED. Notice there is NOT "- MITCHAM" following the word Limited.
On the label, there is a P in a circle with 1959 after it. This is the third line located (right justified) beneath Side 1 and (RSH 219). The same is true on Side 2.
See photos for track listing.

GRADING
VINYL GRADES: NM High gloss with no noticeable marks, NM- has high gloss but may have a single surface imperfection on AT LEAST one side that is visible on close inspection, VG+ has high gloss with MINIMAL surface imperfections on AT LEAST one side that should not affect play (e.g., light sleeve scuffing), VG retains some gloss but has MODERATE surface imperfections on AT LEAST one side that are visible on first glance and may affect play. G has AT LEAST one of the following: a scratch that breaks the grooves, Very little gloss remaining, and/or Simply looks terrible.
PLEASE NOTE: For these listings, Vinyl Grades of VG will NOT have scratches that you can feel (unless specifically noted). Rather, VG indicates moderate to significant sleeve scuffing or surface imperfections...It is being used as an "appearance" grade. It is my opinion that my grading standards are more strict than Goldmine's.
SOUND GRADES: NM has no noise and the sound is crisp and full, NM- has no discernible noise but the sound is lacking the impressiveness of a NM disc, VG+ has minimal background noise that is apparent ONLY when specifically listening for it and does not distract from the music in any way, VG has some minor noise during play that is well below the level of the music and is not distracting (for example, a minor but audible pop/crackle OR low background hiss for extended periods), G has noise in a significant portion of the music that is clearly audible AND detracts from the enjoyment of the music (a "filler" record, but still with no skips or repeats).
LABEL/COVER/SLEEVE GRADES: NM has no noticeable flaws, VG+ has a flaw on AT LEAST one side that is visible only when looking for it (such as light wear or discoloration or a CLEAN jukebox sticker), VG has imperfection(s) that one notices at first glance on AT LEAST one side that BEGINS to distract, G has some sort of distracting imperfection that clearly detracts from the appearance of the label (I will attempt to describe the flaw in this case).
EVERYTHING offered will play through with NO skips or repeats unless specifically stated.
SATISFACTION GUARANTEED
As always, I will happily issue a FULL refund (your choice of either cash or credit toward another item) if you are unhappy for ANY reason and contact me within 14 days of receiving a record. In most cases I will ask that the record be returned, at your expense.
Assume all records come in plain, white sleeves unless otherwise noted/photographed (this is easiest for listing purposes - I will occasionally surprise a buyer with a company sleeve).
Finally, I do not believe in using reserve prices. I will list opening bids of the minimum I am willing to accept for a record. If it's bid on, it is selling.
***I reserve the right to cancel a transaction after 2 weeks. I make two efforts to contact any buyer who does not pay within 4 days - once at day 4, then another at day 10. If you do not respond to these efforts, I will EITHER cancel the transaction 14 days after the end of the auction without further notice to you OR open a case with Ebay AND note your non-communication in my feedback. My generous return policy ASSURES your satisfaction for ANY reason. If you decide that you do not want the item after winning it, just let me know.***
