Title: Blind Blake: C.C. Pill Blues (Rare 10" Pre War Blues 78 RPM) Paramount 1927 / Goodbye Mama Moan
Catalog Info: Paramount #12634/1927
Country: U.S. Original
Additional Specifics: Condition: disc with scratches and play wear; some sheen loss - a good bit remaining; no digs [deep feelable scratches]; no cracks or edge chips; tested several times, after first run - plays through with noise, but no incidents of skips Truthfully, I'm not sure which alphabetical grade to give this disc, because it is Pre-War, old and stood the test of time outside a pristine collection. I've been selling records for 10 years, and still don't, scientifically, know how to grade pre-war 78's. Most of the time, I tend to undergrade them; therefore, I will post a sound clip and let collectors be the judge. However, it is not a disc for the dumpster - it is a keeper. HEAR Condition:
Seller's Comment: Fragile record will be packed like fine china to arrive as described, whether shipped internationally or domestically. Bid with confidence. Domestic Buyer: Record will be insured and tracked. International Buyer: Registered tracking and insured, if permitted in your country.
LP Track Listing: See Photo Gallery _________________________________________________________
Grading - Goldmine Standards Used: Records in less than VG+ or NM, will be listed with additional descriptions of it flaws.
All records are guaranteed to play satisfactorily. If your record doesn't play as described, or is not rated according to the Goldmine Standards, returns or resolutions are welcome. However, I do encourage additional questions, or requests for sound clips, if you're not comfortable with the grading standards used - in order to reduce incidents of returns.
Grades:
NM - A near perfect record - new/unplayed
VG+ Clean record, free of major flaws
VG Record with physical flaws, but plays OK, perhaps with light surface noise
VG - More visible flaws than a VG record; but, still plays, with some noise; though, not overpowering
G+/G/Fair - Records with more flaws than a VG- record [historical, collection fillers of DJ's, with noise reducing equipment]

QUESTION FROM INQUIRER: Does crack in disc prevent play?ANSWER: There are no cracks in this disc's playing surface, nor any edge bites or chips. I am uploading more photos for you to see there is only a small edge bubble/flaw - no chips. It has sheen loss and scratches; but, no trashy graying. I have also played it again and uploaded a new sound clip of the entirety of C.C. Pill Blues. It plays with lots of noise, but no incidents such as skips, hisses, rumbles, stalls, etc. The Mama side plays the same. As stated before, I am not an expert at grading these pre-war 78s, because the grading system is 'all over the place'. If I were a UK seller, I'd probably give it a VG. US sellers grade 78s more stricter. I'm reluctant to give it a VG due to the noise. Post-War 78s, I grade like a 45; but, pre-war - not sure? I hope this helps you decide the grade.
