Originally released in 2010, Scream would serve as the 11th full-length from original Black Sabbath frontman and all round heavy metal monarch Ozzy Osbourne. Following on from 2007's Black Rain and marking his final solo endeavour for the next decade with the Oz man not returning in earnest until 2020's Ordinary Man, the project marked the first following the dissolving of his longtime partnership with Black Label Society mastermind Zakk Wylde. Stepping in to handle axe duties would be Greek metal legend Konstantinos Karamitroudis aka Gus G (Firewind, Arch Enemy) while it would mark the first time keyboardist Adam Wakeman would be officially credited, after serving as a touring musician since 2004. Noted for its dusting off of the OG Ozzy logo for the first time since 1986's The Ultimate Sin, the album also stands out for the unique marketing push executed at time of release; tying into both the record title as well as lead single 'Let Me Hear You Scream', in the middle of the fifth inning of a game between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Los Angeles Angels at Dodger Stadium on 12 June 2010, Ozzy encouraged the crowd to scream the title of the album as loud and as long as possible with a goal to set the Guinness World Record for the loudest and longest scream by a crowd, which resulted in success, beating out the previous record set by a group of Finnish Boy Scouts while all funds raised were donated to cancer research. Now, that's metal.
