Black Sabbath Paranoid LP LAMINATED GF 1971 Small Swirl SEE ALL AUDIO DETAILS Pro Cleaned . On UK Vertigo small swirl off white with black print paper labels 6360 011 . Please see photos for the track listings . This one is the slightly scarcer laminated version with the " Produced by Roger Bain for Tony Hall Enterprises " printed on two lines at the bottom of the labels and VO PRICE CODE boxed in red in the top right corner of the rear cover under the catalogue number . I think it is the third pressing from 1971 , but i can't be 100% sure . It also comes with the swirl inner sleeve .

COVER: Factory GF laminated front and rear card cover generally in a very strong very good condition though i think some may say a little bit better overall .

FRONT/CORNERS/EDGES: There are just a very very very few very very light and very small marks mostly seen at certain angles to the light and a very very few nearly always seen very faint hairlines in places , there is a very small rough spot patch near the top right corner which i have tried to show in the fifth photo . The usual but generally very light only ring wear marks are present with just a generally very light bit of rubbing on the laminate from the outer edge of the record mainly near the top and bottom edges , there are just a few usual laminate crack lines in places round the edges , three being a bit larger than usual . Some usual useage / age related wear on the side opening edges , they are overall nice and straight , with just a very very slight bump at the bottom , there is also some usual ( as is often seen on these older covers ) fraying / feathering etc present on the very outer edges of these opening edges , there is some mostly tiny bits of rubbing on the corners , mainly just on the tip ends ( a bit more on both the left hand side corners but generally still very small ) , there are hardly any obvious signs of rub wear etc on the top and bottom edges , the spine is very good indeed and fully legible , there is just a bit of light dulling on the laminate in a couple of places and two or three often seen tiny laminate crack lines . INNER GF: Still very good and overall nice and clean but there is a broken dark dotted line approx half way on the left hand side , this is lightly feelable but i'm at a loss to say what this is ? it doesn't appear to be have caused through any neglect etc as i can't see how this could have been caused , with it being lightly felt , i also can't see it being a printing error which if you see it , this is what it looks like , i have shown this in the fourth photo , bar this as i say it is still nice and clean , just a tiny bit of age related very pale browning either side of the bottom centre fold , but this really is very small and very pale indeed , there is just the same on either side of the top centre fold but this really is hardly visible at all and you really do have to be purposely looking for it , there are just a very very few very faint line marks and two or three extremely small super faint marks in places but only really noticeable at certain angles to the light and just the odd but light only bit of nearly always seen grubiness on the very outer edge of the laminate where it has been folded over on the top edge , but this is just in places only . REAR: A very light ring wear mark with some light rubbing from the outer edge of the record , one very small very light and thin line mark near the centre of the top edge which i have shown in the photos , there appears to be a very light , small bit of a start of some laminate peel in and just below the top left corner on the outer edge but this is light only and is not fraying etc , again please see photos , there are just a few mostly small light usual laminate crack lines in places round the edges with three larger ones in the bottom left corner , there are a couple of very light dent lines running down the left hand side , but this certainly does appear to be within the manufacturing , there are just a very very very few extremely light , faint and very small marks and two or three fine hairlines , again most only seen at certain angles to the light . The cover is writing free and there are no seam splits . I do hope i haven't made this out to be bad in any way as i really is still a nice solid and overall clean example , i just like to be thorough with all my descriptions , but can sometimes go a little OTT ! .

INNER SLEEVE: I think this is the original swirl inner sleeve but can't be 100% sure but it was with the record when i got it . Overall it is in good / near very good condition , there is just some age related foxing / browning mostly round the edges which is quite dark in places , this is also a lot darker on the top opening inside edges , there is the odd quite light denting and creasing present ( harsher creasing towards the corners ) , there are the usual ring wear marks present with the often seen more prominent and harsher creases from the outer edge of the record towards the corners , more towards the bottom corners , a couple of the flipback ends have been folded back . The sleeve is writing free , there is one very tiny seam split on the bottom edge , barely visible and one larger one on the one side edge . I will also be putting the record into a new plain white paper inner sleeve .

LABELS: Off white with black print paper labels generally in near excellent condition , still very nice and clean with just a couple of very faint near hairline line marks seen only at certain angles to the light , but these really are very faint indeed and really hardly noticeable unless you are purposely looking for them , there are just a few usual but light spindle marks , both labels are writing free.

** Please note that the greyish coloured marks and bright shiny patches that are sometimes seen on some of the close ups of the record playing surfaces in the photos are purely a light reflection / glare and are not marks on the record , thank you ** .

RECORD: The overall visual grade of the playing surface under normal average household light conditions is a very strong very good condition ( visual only , please see audio details below ) but i think most people would say better than very good on it's own overall with mostly just the odd extremely light certainly non feelable mark , but mostly just some clusters ( one large one ) of super light non feelable whispy hairlines / sleeve removals only really seen more at certain angles to the light , there are just a few other usual super light and super fine whispy type hairlines and sleeve removals , there are just two or three other slightly more visible but certainly non feelable hairlines in places , there are no nasty gouges / nasty deep scratches whatsoever , i will also say that a great deal of these finer hairlines and actually some ( though there really aren't that many ) of the odd very light non feelable marks are really only more visible when held at certain angles to or under a light . Please note that there maybe the odd tiny dust particle or tiny bit of fluff etc seen on the record in places in the photos off my wiping cloth due to static etc , i can't see them on the record at the time but they sometimes do show up when I take the close up photos , this is also because i do take the photos before i vacuum clean the record , thank you for your understanding . Please see below for audio description .

AUDIO A SIDE: Silent run in has some usual but very light noise . It plays close to near excellent overall , would have easily been excellent but for some light ticks / light pops in places , these mainly being four quite light pops just after the start on T1 and a few ( i think six or seven ) light ticks on the last part also on T1 , the silent changeover has a couple of ticks from T1 to T2 and a couple of very approx three quarters of the way through , T3 has one light pop on the start and a couple of very light ticks as the music fades right at the end , but overall this much quieter track plays excellently . Bar these odd few mostly light / very light ticks in places it plays beautifully crisp and clear throughout on the music playback with really next to nothing in the way of obvious noise that was worthy of mention , maybe just the odd bit of very very brief very faint usual background vinyl static in places , even the silent track changeover lines were generally nice and quiet , there was no nasty crackle present at all , there may just have been the odd very faint isolated pop / very light tick that i may have missed . Silent run off has some usual but generally light / very light noise . This side on the music really does still play and sound great overall and the audio tones are still awesome .

AUDIO B SIDE: Silent run in has some usual but generally very light noise . It does play through beautifully crisp and clear throughout on the music playback with really next to nothing in the way of obvious noise that was worthy of mention , but i have to say there is one quick skip ( when tested on my deck ) which i think was on the first part of T2 ( i have done a video of this ) , bar this , i just hear a couple of odd bits of extremely faint and very brief usual vinyl static in places , barely heard , there was the odd mostly very light tick / very light pop in places , mainly being a couple of very very light ticks on the start of T2 and just the very occasional other very light tick / light pop in places , even the silent track changeover lines were generally nice and quiet overall , there was no nasty crackle present , there may just have been the odd one or two very faint isolated pops / light ticks that i may have missed . Silent run off has some usual but generally very light noise . Bar the mentioned quick skip , this side on the music really does still play and sound great overall and the audio tones are still awesome .

** Yes there is the brief skip and the odd few mostly light / very light ticks / pops as mentioned , but make no mistake , this record on the music really does still sound great overall ! ** .

The record still retains a great shine . Any noises tend to be in short bursts only , are over quickly , are not constant and do not spoil any enjoyment . If any noises are more frequent or louder etc , they will be described separately in the above detailed descriptions thank you .

All in all still a very nice example of this now very collectable item together with super overall sound , do turn this one up and enjoy ! . For the reasons stated , I have started this one off at what i think is a very keen £34.99p , the extra shown is what Ebay add on for their fees . Thank you very much for your time and interest and happy bidding . Please do read the following ref record gradings explained thank you .

Very Good: The record has obviously been played many times , but displays no major deterioration in sound quality , despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch , some forms of noise will more than likely be heard in places especially on the quieter parts and the odd tick or pop may also be heard in places especially on the quieter parts , but none of this will overpower any of the music in any way , light edge warps etc and some light " dishing " are acceptable but will not affect the play or sound quality at all , any warps that are more prominent will be described in more detail . Please see the descriptions above for the cover condition .

Very Good / Near Excellent: The record has obviously been played but shows no overly excessive play wear . There will be some light only surface marks though most will be just fine hairlines , there will be no major deterioration in sound quality at all though some amount of light noise / occasional light pop may be present in places especially on some of the quieter parts , but none of this will be loud or constant or overpower any of the music , the record will play through perfectly , light edge warps etc and some light " dishing " are acceptable but will not affect the play or sound quality at all , any warps that are more prominent will be described in more detail . Please see the descriptions above for the cover condition .

Near Excellent: The record has obviously been played but shows only light signs of this , a few of the lightest non feelable surface marks being mostly very fine hairlines will be present , but it displays no deterioration in sound quality . Some brief bits of very light noise and very occasional usual light pop maybe present in places and would be acceptable on some quieter parts , but none of this will be loud or constant or overpower any of the music , light edge warps etc and some light " dishing " are acceptable but will not affect the play or sound quality at all , any warps that are more prominent will be described in more detail . Please see the descriptions above for the cover condition .

Excellent : The record shows some signs of having been played , but there is very little lessening in sound quality , light edge warps etc and some light " dishing " are acceptable but will not affect the play or sound quality at all , any warps that are more prominent will be described in more detail. Please see the descriptions above for the cover condition .
