Ever fancied listening to Sabbath with the best possible audio available - and doing so without having to shell out a fortune on an early 70's Vertigo pressing? Well, this could be that copy...the WWA pressing was quality and I can vouch for the fact that it is certainly no slouch - it's well up there with an original Vertigo. But the great thing is it's an economical purchase with a high-end audio return...
An original early 1974 press of the Sabbath debut on the WWA label [silver text]. Matrix 1/2. The vinyl comes housed in original cover printed by Robor in England with pinched spine. The cover includes the SWEET LIFE typo on the rear. Also included is the original inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex+) In absolutely superb condition and has only seen very light use. Under close inspection we could only make out a couple of very light marks - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. I've heard some fine Vertigo renditions of this LP, but I gotta be honest, this LP is frickin' awesome. Beautiful tonality and bags of detail - an audiophile's dream. Not perfect, but quite frankly very close. If you want to hear just how this LP was intended to sound give this copy serious consideration. Interference is minimal. All we detected was a couple of light crackles in a couple of spots ..i.e. almost nothing. Even the instrumental 'Orchid' and 'Solitude' play CLEAN..>> Nice!
Cover (Ex+) A lovely flat shiny surface with no hint of curl or heavy use. The rear in similar outstanding condition. Edge wear is very light and the edges are still sharp. The spine is 100% intact - a beauty... Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity and lies perfectly flat.
Inner (Ex+) No ageing markings or splits.
