Description
This is Riverside Records RLP 376 Bill Evans Sunday At The Village Vanguard, a blue label, deep groove, original mono issue, featuring Scott LaFaro. The record is in VG++ condition, with a paper sleeve mark on side 2 and 3 other light marks keeping it from being near mint. There is almost indistinct rumble discernible in the quiet passage on My Man's Gone (side 1 trk2), and (very)occasional light crackle in the quiet passages of Alice In Wonderland (side 2 trk1), with the rest playing quiet throughout. The original mono sound is truly luminous and transparent. The deep groove labels are excellent, with only light spindle marks. The original textured cover has only a 1/8" bump on the top left corner and can be considered near mint. This is a wonderful, collector's grade copy of a very rare original issue. I have entered a reserve. The record was cleaned on a VPI 17 and played on a Linn Sondek LP12. This is part of a large Jazz record collection I will be offering in the next few months.
