Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. SCARCE clean original 1972 first ((Promotional)) pressing on the highly collected "UNI" label in thick textured gatefold cover ... Sometimes appreciated, othertimes vastly underestimated, this hairy crew delivers a cool sound, led by ex-members of Mothers Of Invention (Jimmy Carl Black) and Love (Tjay Cantrelli, Da Capo era) ...highlights include the throbbing thumper "Low Riding Man" and the scorching "An American National Anthem" ...but there is much more involved...
Geronimo Black would be just another of the hundreds of all but forgotten semi-progressive hard rock bands of the early '70s but for the pedigree of the group's members. Geronimo Black was formed by former Mothers of Invention drummer Jimmy Carl Black in 1970, shortly after Frank Zappa broke up the original Mothers. Named after his youngest son (who has since grown up to be a musician himself), Geronimo Black was Black's band all the way, although he was one of two lead singers and everyone in the band contributed to the songwriting. Besides Black on drums and vocals and his Mothers bandmate Bunk Gardner on keyboards and reeds, the group also included sax player Tjay Cantrelli (who had previously been in the second Lp lineup of Love), guitarist and singer Denny Walley (who ironically would later work for Frank Zappa for several years in the late '70s and early '80s), bassist Tom Leavey, and drummer and keyboardist Andy Cahan (who would later join another set of ex-Zappaites, Flo & Eddie).
GERONIMO BLACK, issued in 1972 is a surprisingly solid album with a varied and occasionally experimental sound with plenty of hardrock/progressive moves, the record, at the time, attracted almost no attention and the group split up shortly after its release...

CONDITION: The Cover: very thick textured gatefold cover is solid, "EX" (excellent) nice keeper collectible...usually IF found has wear to the cover that did not hold up well rubbing against records in bins...this copy, nice...has a promo sticker at bottom of back cover that adds to the value of this album as a pre-release promo
The Vinyl: is glossy clean, both sides, "EX" (excellent) plays really nice...clean UNI labels too
