Description
The second Australian Bee Gees 45 - from 1963 - the beginnings of a great career for the Gibb Brothers. A succession of poor-selling 45's were issued on Leedon here for a period of 3 years prior to them returning to the UK where they enjoyed huge world-wide success. The Leedon 45's are coveted by collectors throughout the world. This is another historic rarity, a promo copy issued to a small number of radio stations - has Sample and release date stamps on label (see scans) - Release date 29/07/63. Has small writing on label (Aust) on "B"Side as placed by radio station. Issued on the pink Leedon label as all releases from this one onwards were.

Condition: EX- Both sides really nice and I can tell you by the radio station jacket that this gem was played only 12 times in total, the last being in 1965. Just a few very light marks that do not affect play at all. A very acceptable copy of another super-rarity!! Comes in plastic Festival generic sleeve and protected by radio station jacket with stamps indicating when it was played on Australian radio (not very often!!)
I have a huge collection of Australian-pressed 45's of rare garage, beat, and r' n' b from both Australian and Overseas artists. It is all going to be sold off so watch this space!!
