For the serious collector wishing to find a near perfect example of a rare 1st pressing, here is a stunning complete package
After 45 years of collecting Beatles original vinyl, on offer here is a truly unbelievable example of a comparatively rare stereo 1st pressing of their second UK album Nothing is set in stone when it comes to Beatles 1960's releases and once again, here we see a first press disc with it's 'Jobete', 'Gotta' and 'Domion' label errors, being housed in an E J Day cover which has the corrected 'Got A' sleeve and the slightly lighter front photo of the band, proving that adjustments and amendment were being made all the time, from day one
The disc and cover have been a married couple from the very start and remain together to this day *
The Vinyl
Visually: Near pristine - no visible marks anywhere - a few wispy handling lines under a halogen lamp - impossible to better
Audio: Near mint throughout - near silent run ins - wonderful rich stereo sound which makes you feel as if you are in the studio with the band - crystal clear - please note: on my system, the acoustic guitar playing on 'Till There Was You' produces what I can only describe as a frequency fuzz pop, on some of the picked notes. As I have nothing else to play the disc on, this may not occur on your system as it might just be a frequency rattle through my particular speakers. The track is crystal clear and every other song plays perfectly so I don't know why this happens but be aware that this might occur on your system. Having said that, the disc and audio quality are truly exceptional, throughout

The Labels
Vibrant yellow parlophones - fabulous silver text - no writing or damage - inevitable spindle trails
*
The Cover
Original E J Day - in my opinion it would be almost impossible to find a better example - there are no pressure lines, laminate lift or thumb bends on the almost immaculate front panel - a few, tiny perimeter storage crease lines but really nothing much - the spine, with it's pinched ends, is perfect - the opening edges are absolutely straight, with no feathering or splits - the back panel is pristine and still retains a lovely whiteness - the photos show how fabulous the flip backs are, remaining solid and complete
*
Inner Sleeve
Original, made from thicker paper and with a clear polythene liner - 'patents applied for' - as close to perfect as you could expect
