Magical Mystery Tour 1967

1st Pressing MMT-A1 and MMT-B1 Mono

Matrix: 7XCE 18435-1, 7XCE 18434-1 and 7XCE 18436-1, 7XCE 18437-2

Stampers: 12GPA, 15GLH and 3GPH, 3AR

Both discs are in amazing condition, with 'mirror like' vinyl surfaces. There are no obvious marks visible on any of the four sides. When angled towards a bright light there are some inevitable, wispy lines in evidence but these really are light and insignificant. Audio from this powerful mono mix is crystal clear and as good as it would have sounded, from new. There is a little mild, random crackle during the first half of 'Fool On The Hill' but it is very faint and largely drowned out by the track.

The solid centre labels are excellent, with all text vibrant and undamaged. They all carry light spindle trails.

The 1st issue sleeve, with its correct blue lyric sheet, is in stunning condition, the front and back laminated panels being perfectly smooth with no pressure lines or creases. The spine and inner pages are pristine. Age toning is present but this is very mild for a 44 year old paper product. There is a neat shop sticker at the top of page one, showing the original price of 19s 11d (just under £1 in todays money) but as I am not the original owner I cannot guarantee its authenticity, although it does look genuine enough.

The original, white paper inner sleeves, are in astonishing condition. Semi transparent, with wavy top edges, one having adjacent flipbacks, the other with opposing, which, as first issues, is completely correct. Both are in wonderful, fresh condition, only showing gentle creasing.

All in all, a fantastic example of this final, original EP release.

I have other Beatles items listed, please take a look.

Please read the following information:

For reasons best known only to themselves and their psychiatrists, some new members will outbid all others to win an auction and then vanish without paying or replying to emails. For this reason, if you you have a feedback score of less than 10, please contact me before bidding, to confirm your ability to complete the transaction. Failure to do so will result in your bid being cancelled and the item offered to a genuine bidder.

I always listen to the whole disc and try to give an honest description of its performance. Being a buyer as well, I have experienced the irritation of receiving an item which, although not described dishonestly, has had important details 'conveniently' omitted from the write up. It is not uncommon on, used vinyl, to experience the odd dust pop, particularly in the run ins/offs, so please bear this in mind. I will tell you if there are any skips, stalls, repetitive clicks, crackle or sound deterioration For your own peace of mind, I will give you a, no quibble, full refund (including the cost of return postage), if you find your purchase unacceptable. Thank you.
