1963 UK 1st **STEREO** PRESSING LP

RARE *MID-SIZED* COVER LOGO

*'JOBETE'* LABEL CREDIT*

A Near Mint first pressing disc in the rare early 1964 'mid-sized' stereo logo cover.

This near mint 1963 first stereo pressing is on the UK black & yellow Parlophone label: PCS 3045
Both labels omit the 'Sold in UK..' text but carry 'Parlophone Co Ltd...' rims.
The side 2 label features the 'Gotta' misspelling and 'Jobete' credit for 'Money'.
The 'KT' tax/price code is visible on the centre of the side 2 label.

Housed in a front laminated, 'flipback' Garrod & Lofthouse cover with the rarer 'mid-sized' stereo logo.
The rear panel carries the misspelt 'You Really Gotta Hold On Me'.
Complete with its original lined 'Use Emitex' inner-sleeve.

Matrix numbers: YEX 110-2 & YEX 111-2
Stamper numbers: 2/AO & 2/AP

Beautiful clean and high-gloss surfaces bearing no scuff or scratches, just a few wispy sleeve removal hairlines under an intense direct lamp.
100% flat on the turntable without dishing or warping and one really of the best you will come across.

Audio: NEAR MINT

Top sound quality from this early cut with everything loud, warm and clear with no groovewear distortion in either channel.
The run-ins and bands play completely silently and there is no crackle, hiss, clicks, pops, jumps, repeats or any other audible faults anywhere.
An great listening experience.


Cover: EXCELLENT MINUS

Clean and bright with an unyellowed front panel which bears just a few light creases and extremely light storagewear.
The front panel retains a high-gloss laminate with a few light creases to the spine and a slight disc impression but no thumbnail creases or scratches.
The left corners only display slight bruising but the opening edge is clean, sharp and unworn with no tears or feathering.
The rear panel is in great shape; clean, bright and white without any major discolouration, marks or writing.
There is a small repair to the upper right corner 'flipback' but all are intact and in place.
The spine is clean, straight and readable and all seams are strong and unsplit.
