Stamper numbers: 33,3/MO, 3/MT, 3/OA, 4/HL
CONDITION Disc 1 Labels: NEAR MINT
Just a single light spindle trail to each label.
Visual: NEAR MINT
Both surfaces are in pristine 'as new' condition when viewed in strong direct daylight with absolutely no marks or scratches to either side.
Close inspection directly under a halogen desk lamp reveals just a few barely visible wispy paper hairlines but no other wear whatsoever.
Audio: NEAR MINT
After careful listening at volume, I am pleased to report than all tracks sound 'AS NEW' with no trace of background noise or groovewear.
Frequently worn areas such as the crossover from 'Back in The USSR' to 'Dear Prudence' play perfectly.
As does the easily damaged guitar solo on 'While My Guitar Gently Weeps' which is is free from peakwear distortion.
The easily damaged introduction to 'Martha My Dear' and the extremely delicate 'Blackbird' & 'Julia' both play perfectly.
Both run-ins & all bands play silently & there are no clicks, hiss or any other audible wear elsewhere.
Visual: NEAR MINT
As with disc 1, both sides are in pristine condition with deep gloss, undulled & unmarked surfaces.
Apart from a few inner-sleeve removal hairlines under a halogen desk lamp, this disc is 'as new'.
Audio: NEAR MINT
Again, all tracks play perfectly with no trace of any crackle, peak/groovewear distortion in either channel anywhee.
Even the easily worn inner tracks on each side: 'Long, Long Long' & 'Goodnight' play perfectly without any distortion or break up.
There are no pops, hiss or any other signs of audible wear anywhere.
You will not be disappointed.
Cover: EXCELLENT PLUS
This fine & rare example still retains and excellent 'whiteness' all-round with no significant toning inside or out.
The high-gloss front panel laminate is totally unscratched without any disc impression or ring-wear to any panel.
The only things preventing a NEAR MINT grade are; a single 'thumbnail' crease and the faint impression of a few words, visible only on close inspection.
Apart from minor bruising on the lower corners, all are in clean, undamaged shape and all the top opening edges appear pristine & untouched.
The rear panel & inner gatefold are in perfect 'as new' condition has clearly not been opened for many years ( I have not attemped to open it fully).
The 10mm wide spine is clean and fully laminated with all the text present, bold and intact.
There is a 4cm section of split laminate mid-way down the spine, but no other wear.
Both discs have been carefully audibly graded in their entirety on a Rega P9 deck fitted with a Shelter 901 cartridge.
