Dark green Apple labels: PMC 7067 & PMC 7068

Side 1 & side 3 labels carry genuine 'Factory Sample - NOT FOR SALE' stickers.

The 'Sold in UK..' text is present on all labels.

'An EMI Recording' is omitted from all labels.

There is no tax/price code visible on any label.

Housed in a thick card top-opening, 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed gatefold mono cover numbered: No. 0031340

Complete with die-cut matt black inners & UK printed poster but no photos or spacer.

Labels: EXCELLENT +

All labels have a few light spindle marks but no writing or missing paper.

Visual:

Disc 1: EXCELLENT +

Both sides of this disc are immaculate & totally unmarked in strong daylight with no scuffs, scratches or any other visible blemish. Careful inspection beneath my halogen desk lamp reveals nothing more than a few barely visible wispy paper hairlines but no other signs of wear at all.

Disc 2: Side 3: EXCELLENT + Side 4: VERY GOOD +

This disc is also just as clean and glossy. Side 3 is unblemished but side 4 displays 3 small/light fingernail marks and a 6mm scratch which is just feelable under the fingertips. Some faint inner-sleeve removal marks under a halogen light, there are no further visible faults to be seen. Both discs lie 100% flat on the turntable with no dishing or warping.

Audio:

Disc 1: EXCELLENT

It is clear from the extremely quiet run-ins and noise-free opening plane intro that this disc has been recieved just a few careful plays on good quality equipment. Even the exposed crossover into 'Dear Prudence' is clean & clear with just a few soft ticks on the outro of this track and on the guitar intro of '..Bungalow Bill'. However, 'While My Guitar Gently Weeps' plays without any peakwear distortion, even in the guitar solo and the final inner-track is also unworn. The delicate 'Blackbird' & 'Julia' on side two play cleanly, as does the rest of side 2.

Disc 2: Side 3: EXCELLENT +  Side 4: EXCELLENT -

All tracks on side 3 play without any traces of groovewear and even the delicate 'Mother Nature's Son' plays perfectly cleanly & clearly throughout with no ticks, clicks or other blemishes. Even the final crescendo on the 'Long, Long, Long' is completely unworn. Side 4 plays very well overall with its only significant fault being a moderate repeating click on an 30 second (approx) section of 'Revolution #9'. However, despite these minor faults, this is an extremely resepectable sounding set.

Cover

EXCELLENT -

An extremely strong and thick card example which still retains a good 'whiteness' and and clean all-round laminate. There is some damage and a 2cm tear to the lower left corner but lamianate around the raised 'The Beatles' wording is completely intact and the low-ish number is clean and bold. Apart from the lower left, all corners are square & unbumped and all top-opening edges are clean with just a few small 'pushes' on the rear. The rear panel is as clean and bright as the front and the inside of the gatefold is unblemished. The spine laminate has a 5cm section of rubbing but the text on both ends is present & readable.

Poster: EXCELLENT

Clean, unmarked and unhung with just some light handling wear but no tears, holes or other signs of wear.

Inners: VERY GOOD

Both are clean & flat but have small tears to the centre holes and slight upper edge wear. All seams are intact and unsplit.
