Description

The Beatles “White Album” DOUBLE LP with RARE HYPE STICKER affixed | Original 1968/9 Apple Record Scranton Pressing Plant | Numbered Cover.


Cover has rare 4.75" by 4" white hype sticker with blue typeface; the top of the sticker has small area of paper loss as evident in the photos.  Cover, which has slightly yellowed with age, is stamped with number A2819789.  Spine is in intact and readable.  Upper seams and lower seams were (at least partially) split at one time and were cleanly repaired with clear cello tape.  Numerous age stains to front cover; small area of paper loss to upper right from an old price sticker.  The inside gatefold and rear are quite clean.  Overall, VG- condition.


Includes the first issue poster with Apple Records copyright.  Poster seams are partially split; slight tear at top.  VG- condition.  Please note there are NO photos!


The vinyl is in VG- (LP#1) and VG (LP#2) condition. Very well played with numerous surface marks that do not negatively affect playback.  Scranton (Pennsylvania) pressing.  Matrix etching suffixes are J58#8 / J45#3 / J57 / J44#2.


Labels are in EX condition.  Rim print includes the tiny Capitol logo.
