THE BEATLES - 'VI'
1966 UK PARLOHONE *EXPORT* LP
**EXCELLENT & RARE COPY**
This extremely rare 1966 UK 1st EXPORT pressing is on the black & yellow Parlophone label: CPCS 104
Both labels omit the 'Sold in UK..' text but carry 'Gramophone Co..' rims.
The 'KT' tax/price code is visible on the side 1 label.
All versions on this LP are the American 'Dave Dexter Jnr.' mixes.
Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse', Patents Pending printed cover.
Complete with its original 'Use Emitex' rice paper lined inner-sleeve.
Matrix numbers: YEEX 112-A15 & YEEX 113-A15
The original U.S. matrix 'ST 2451' is scratched out in the side 2 run-out
Stamper numbers: 1/R & 1/R
Disc weight: 161g
Labels: EXCELLENT
Both labels display some clumsy spindle trails but no other signs of wear.
The silver centre-hole marker is still visible on the side 1 label.
Visual: Side 1. VERY GOOD PLUS Side 2. EXCELLENT
Both surfaces are clean, bright & glossy in daylight bearing just a single 1cm fingernail scuff on track 1 and two 1cm hairline scratches on track 4 on side 1, but no no further marks or wear.
Close and careful inspection of both sides directly under my halogen desk lamp reveals just a few insignificant stylus and wispy paper hairlines but no further marks or wear.
Both sides lie 100% flat on the turntable with no signs of dishin or warping.
Audio: Side 1: VERY GOOD PLUS Side 2: EXCELLENT
This copy has received just some infrequent play on good quality equipment and the sound throughout is clean, warm and clear with no traces of groovewear distortion.
The disc's only significant audible fault are some light clicks towards the end of 'Bad Boy' and on the introduction to 'I Don't Want To Spoil The Party'.
However, apart from this and a touch or background between some tracks, there are no further signs of wear.
The entire album is of course free from any jumps, repeats or othersuch major audible faults.
Cover: EXCELLENT MINUS
A great example of this rare cover which retains a bright, clean & glossy front laminate displaying just a few minor spine wrinkles and two small 'thumbnail' creases towards the opening edge.
The lower right and uper left corners have slight rubs to them but all are square and unbumped. Both opening edges are completely unworn front and rear.
The rear panel is clean and white where it should be, but has a small written name and number stamp along the upper portion.
All flipbacks are fully intact and both seams and the spine are unworn and completely undamaged.
Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT
Clean, crisp & white, with no tears or splits.
