I am re-listing this LP and dropping the opening bid. In the description below I may have turned off some of you when I mentioned the "surface noise" that I find on almost ALL Mercury Living Presence LPs. This one and the other Fennell LP are probably the best sounding that I have. Side 2 does have a slight "pop" and then a loud "pop" at the beginning of Walton's Crown Imperial March. I tend to under grade my LPs and the surface noise on this LP is really only noticeable on the quieter passages as in Holst's Hammersmith on this LP. I do believe that any fan of Fennell or these presses will be happy with this and the other Fennell LP that I will also re-list.

 Up for auction "British Band Classics vol. 2" with Frederick Fennell conducting the Eastman Wind Ensemble. It is the STEREO early pressing with the maroon label, SR 90197. The Mono or 5000 series are the same music but basically worthless to a collector.

CONDITION: The LP is graded VG+ but any other seller would grade it MN. One thing about the Mercury Living Presence LPs. I have a lot of them because of the incredible sound and top notch conductors and orchestras. I've never listed any on E-Bay because most seem to have excess surface noise even if they look PERFECT. This one  has VERY minimal surface noise but there 2 "pops" at the beginning of side 2. RCA Living Stereo LPs don't seem to have that problem, maybe due to their "Miracle Surface"? Regardless, this LP sounds and plays great. This Fennell LP sounds GREAT but I still have to mention the "surface noise" even if you never hear it. It is very slight.

The COVER is very nice with no seam splits or writing. These high gloss LP covers hold up very well over the years. No chips anywhere on the spine, bottom or top and looks almost "new".

I play grade my LPs and will describe them as accurately as possible. They come from a smoke free home at least as long as I've had them and are from my personal collection. My 1st LP was "Meet The Beatles" when it came out in 1964 and I've been buying ever since. With over 10,000 LPs I have to thin my collection and will be listing every type of music (except Rap) in the next 10 years or so. Check back if you're a vinyl freak like I am.

The original paper inner sleeve (which I do not like) is included but the LP will come with poly inner and outer sleeves.
