THE BEATLES - 'STRAWBERRY FIELDS..'/'PENNY LANE'
1967 UK 1st PRESSING & PICTURE SLEEVE
**NEAR MINT**
This NEAR MINT early 1st pressing is on the UK black & silver Parlophone label: R 5570
Both sides carry the 'Sold in UK..' text and upper case 'Gramophone Co. Ltd..' rims.
The 'KT' tax/price code is visible on the 'Penny Lane' label.
Housed in its original limited edition thin paper picture sleeve.
Matrix numbers: 7XCE 18415-1 & 7XCE 18416-2
Stamper numbers: 1/MO & 1/R
Cover: NEAR MINT
As close to 'as new' as you could hope to find with minimal storagewear and no discolouration, marks tears or splits.

Both sides are in pristine unmarked 'as new' condition, bearing no marks or scratches - even directly beneath a halogen desk lamp.
The disc does have a very slight edgewarp, but this does not affect sound or play in any way.
Audio: NEAR MINT
Clearly played no more than twice, both sides play perfectly with no traces of crackle or groovewear anywhere.
The easily damaged 'Strawberry Fields' introduction and entire 'Penny Lane' play perfectly without any break-up, background noise or distortion.
Both run-ins play silently and there are absolutely no ticks, clicks or any other audible wear.
Tough to fnd a better example.
All discs are carefully play graded in their entirety on a Rega P9 deck with an Ortofon Kontrapunkt 'A' cartridge.
