1969 UK '1 EMI BOX' *MONO* PRESSING LP
**COMPLETE WITH APPLE PROMO POSTER**
One of only three mono issues on the 'One EMI Box' label in late 1969, this is the rarest and arguably the best sounding 1960's mono pressing.
This copy includes its original factory folded 'Apple' catalogue advertising poster.
This extremely rare 1969 MONO pressing is on the UK black & silver 'One EMI Box' label: PMC 7027
Both labels omit the 'Sold in UK..' text but carry 'Gramophone Co Ltd...' rims
There is no tax/price code is visible on either label.
Housed in a fully laminated, internal 'flipback' mono 'Garrod & Lofthouse' cover.
Complete with original plain white 'Patent Nos..' inner sleeve, original Apple poster and cut-out sheet.

This disc has clearly been played just a few times and displays no major faults.
The only visible faults are two very faint fingernail scuffs on side 2 but otherwise the surfaces are pristine without any other marks or scratches.
Careful inspection under a halogen desk lamp reveals no more than some wispy paper removal hairlines & no additional marks.
Quality, sharp-edged vinyl which lies 100% flat on both sides without dishing or warping.
Audio: NEAR MINT
This disc plays and sounds 'as new' with clear & warm sound throughout.
There is no trace of groovewear distortion or crackle on any track, or in either channel.
Even the easily damaged 'She's Leaving Home' plays without the usual groovewear distortion or crackle.
Both 'run-ins' are silent and there are no clicks, pops, jumps or repeats anywhere.
Cover: EXCELLENT
Strong, clean and bright bearing just minor handling and storage wear only.
The front laminate is bright and unscratched, displaying just two light 'thumbnail' creases and a few light spine wrinkles.
Slight rub to the upper left corner & right top edge but nothing more than light shelfwear to the others.
The opening edges are sharp and clean with just light wear to the front edge but no tears or 'feathering'.
The rear panel is clean and glossy with just a few spine wrinkles but no 'thumbnails' or any other creases.
The inside of the gatefold is in superb shape with no creases, writing or marks.
The spine retains its full laminate and all wording is perfect and undamaged.
All the seams are strong, unstressed and unsplit.
Poster: NEAR MINT
In superb shape with just a few small & light discolouration spots but no tears or other creasing.
Cut-out sheet: MINT
Strict visual grading in daylight and directly under a halogen desk lamp.
All discs are carefully play graded in their entirety on a Rega P9 deck with an Ortofon Kontrapunkt 'A' cartridge.
