Made in Gt. Britain Release date 1967
Yellow/black Parlophone labels with Sold in UK text and Gram. Co. credits .Some spindle lines visible . Excellent condition. Will be hard pressed to find a better example of this monumental classic . No lifting, peeling or mottling when angled. A delight to view.
Vinyl surfaces
Jet black and a highly polished sheen . Stunning visual with very little to fault . Most were heavily played, used and abused into submission, resulting in massive groove wear and surface damage. This vinyl is remarkable appearing to have been very lightly played!! The record appears freshly pressed with hardly a mark visible under ordinary light .When angled, can pick up one or two hairlines + 2-3 faint surface marks but quite insignificant. A beautiful example of the best album ever produced.
Insert cut outs mint!!
Plain white inner sleeve
Excellent condition. Superb example with Patents Applied for/ Made in GB text printed in black ink, confirming an original example of this inner sleeve! Some of these first pressings were not issued with the fool’s red/white inner! This is one of these releases. Much more difficult to locate now.
Gatefold sleeve
Beautifully laminated . Slight laminate lift on spine ,resulting in a minute flake on spinal column. Light scuff on only two of the corners. Top/lower spinal edge wear only. Remarkable inner/outer faces with no fading of text or coloration . Centrefold inner face are excellent++ with internal flip backs undamaged, confirming a very early issue of this magnificent gatefold sleeve. A superb example with a glorious sheen ,producing a glass like finish. Excellent/excellent+ condition.
Audio
Very rare and very special indeed to locate such a sensational aural delivery such as this . Most mono records were played on decks with a heavy styli which caused massive groove wear and sound distortion. A common occurrence from many of the vintage mono classics but this vinyl is one of the best that I have ever heard . This audio is stunning with hardly a crackle detected. Solitary pops heard two-three times but nothing major to fault from these audio channels. How rare is that from a Beatles’ best selling album release such as this? Tones are delivered sharp and clear with hardly any surface disturbance. And the most important, hardly any distortion !!! Perhaps some mild distortion on one of the tracks ,side 1 but most of play is superb. So clear are these channels !!And the tones are delivered with a pinpoint precision, seldom heard from these mono recordings. Unbelievable ! At least an excellent grading awarded but considerably better in some parts!
Possibly one of the best examples of the most influential Beatles album ever produced. A fine exhibit and of pure investment quality. Ultra clean and freshly pressed appearance, please do not miss this stunning album presentation.
Absolutely awesome .
