Description

Very Rare and sought after Beatles LP

It is a First Pressing of Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band it is Mono housed in the very rare 'patents pending' 'fourth proof' sleeve.

The FOURTH PROOF COVER was one of the earliest of the mono covers to be printed and they were not supposed to ever be released to the public.The 'Fourth Proof' that was printed inside the gatefold was just printed on a few covers that were run to proof the art work on the covers before the main batches of prints were run, These proof sleeves were not made with the 'wide spine' only the standard spine. The sleeve also states 'Patents Pending' on the back which was only really seen on the very earliest of sleeves, not many of these were released...even fewer survived the 60's and 70's...a must for a collector.

Also Includes the Original Red and White inner sleeve and cutouts card insert.

Appart from this being a very rare item, and not many of these exist, it is also in really nice condition, sleeve is flat and clean still has a nice shine to it, corners have minor wear, spine has some wear and slight marking from some old sellotape but because it was only the thin standard spine they were prone to damage...probably why they changed to the wide one!!, inner sleeve has slight seem split but is flat and clean, slightly discoloured, cutout is as new and the record has no deep marks or scratches...just a few whispy marks/hairlines under strong light, has a nice lustre and shine, the lables are both clean and damage free with little sign of being played.

It will be sent out in sturdy record mailer with stiffners and record out of sleeve in pvc sleeve to prevent any damage in the mail.
