THE BEATLES - 'RUBBER SOUL'
1968 UK *STEREO* PRESSING* LP
This EXCELLENT STEREO pressing dates from c.1968 and is on the yellow & black Parlophone label: PCS 3075
Both labels include the 'Sold in UK..' text & have 'Gramophone Co. Ltd..' rims.
The 'KT' purchase tax code is visible around the side 1 centre hole.
Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse ' printed stereo cover.
Complete with its original red & white EMI advertising inner-sleeve.
Matrix numbers: YEX 178-3 & YEX 179-3
Stamper codes: 2/GP & 2/GA

Labels: 1. EXCELLENT + 2. EXCELLENT
Both are clean & undamaged with just some light spindle marks around the side 2 centre hole.
Visual: side 1. VERY GOOD side 2. EXCELLENT
Clean and bright playing surfaces with the only major blemish being a 3cm moderate scratch over the first two tracks on side 1 (which does not affect sound or play) and a light 1cm scuff on the final track, also on side 1. Side 2 is unmarked in daylight and my careful inspection directly beneath halogen desk lamp reveals just some faint marks from inner-sleeve storage but no further significant marks or wear.
Play: EXCELLENT
This copy has received minimal play on good equipment and the sound is clean & clear throughout with no groove/play wear or background noise in either channel. The only audible distraction I came across during my careful play check at volume, were a few light ticks in the band between tracks 3 & 4 on side 2. Apart from that however, there really is little to fault overall on this fine sounding copy.
Cover
VERY GOOD +
A clean & respectable example which retains a rich & clean front panel with a few minor wrinkles in the laminate & some minor storagewear rubbing. All corners are sharp and unbumped with no splits to any. There is a 3mm 'nick' to the front opening edge but otherwise this is clean & unworn. The rear panel is clean & white with no significant mark or any writing or missing. All the flipbacks are clean & intact and both seams and the fully worded spine are smooth and unstressed.
Inner-sleeve
EXCELLENT +
Clean, crisp & bright white with a few unavoidable light wrinkles from storage but no writing, tears or splits.
