Description
This set of 3 Atabaque were made in 1990 in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil. I am the original owner.
These drums are used in worship in "Candomble" (a religion with Yoruba origins in Nigeria).
Salvador is a center of the Candomble religion in Brazil. Skin diameters are approximately 10", 9" and 8". The height of each drum is: 37.5", 28.25", 23.5". The skins are all intact and playable. These drums are commonly played with hands, sticks and a combination of both techniques. The drums are one of a kind and handmade. There are slight imperfections due to age.
