Description
THE BEATLES - 'RUBBER SOUL'
'Rubber Soul' was the first UK Beatles LP cover to be issued without a 'stereo/mono' indicator on its front cover panel. However a single small batch were manufactured with black (later silver) 'stereo' indicators, mainly for export purposes.
This UK stereo 2nd pressing dates from 1968 on the yellow & black Parlophone label: PCS 3075
Matrix numbers: YEX 178-3 & YEX 179-3
Stamper codes: 2/GP & 1/GA
Vinyl weight: 165g
Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed cover with the black 'stereo' indicator in the upper right corner of the front panel.
Complete with its original red & white EMI advertising inner-sleeve.

Both are bright & clean with just a handful of faint spindle trails around each unworn centre hole.
Visual: EXCELLENT
Both sides of this high-quality disc retain all of their deep-gloss shine with the only significant blemish being a 5cm non-feelable surface mark on side 1 which does not affect sound or play. Close inspection beneath halogen light reveal little more than some harmless inner-sleeve storage marks.
Audio: EXCELLENT +
This fine sounding, little played disc sounds clean, warm & clear throughout. All tracks play without crackle, groovewear distortion or clicks or pops.
Cover: EXCELLENT
A highly respectable example of this rare cover which is clean & fully intact all-round. The front panel is richly coloured and its high-gloss laminate retains a superb shine with just an unavoidable light disc impression from storage and a couple of small wrinkles. There is slight shelfwear to the corners but no heavy bumps or any tears or feathering to the opening edges. The exposed rear panel is clean, white & unblemished and all flipbacks are in-place. The spine is unworn & fully worded and both seams are smooth & unstressed.
