The Beatles
Let It Be----Box Set---
PXS 1
**RARE & COMPLETE**
Well folks here's a COMPLETE Let It Be Boxset.....
Have a listen to a track from this boxset:
This was the Beatles' 13th and final offical album release. Released on the 8th of May 1970, it reached the number 1 slot just over two weeks later and stayed there for 3 weeks. It was also, sadly, to prompt the Beatles' last live performance on top of the Apple Building in London on the 30th of January 1969.
An interesting little bit about this album is the cover was originally intended to be the cover that was used for the Beatles' compilation in 1973 for their 'Red' and 'Blue' album.
Even though recording for the album was finished by the end of May '69, it wasn't until March 1970, when Phil Spector was brought in, that it finally got to be released.
So, here follows the details of this little beauty:
Catalogue number: PXS 1
Matrix Numbers:
Side 1: YEX 773-2U
Side 2: YEX 774-2U
(1st Pressing here)

Vinyl:

EX-! Yep, that good! It has just light and very faint hairline marks-certainly nothing to detract from playback-
Either a light professional clean or just a rub with an anti-static cloth will reduce the background noise.
GORGEOUS
I have just listened to the whole album and found just faint background noise throughout.
FLAT AS THE DAY SHE WAS BORN & STILL RETAINS THE GLORIOUS SHEEN
Have a listen to a track from this beauty up for sale:
Labels: EX+. Original DARK GREEN 1st pressing labels. Lovely and clean. Barely any hole wear to mention...just some light whispy spindle marks, visible only when angled to the light-really absolutley nothing to worry about at all.
Record Sleeve: EX++!!
RED APPLE
Glorious glossy sheen to both the front and back.
This is one of the best album covers for this increasingly rare 1st pressing with the red apple.
YOU COULD EASILY FRAME THIS
THIS IS AN INCREDIBLY CRITICAL ANALYSIS OF THIS CLASSIC ALBUM
*Please see my feedback for fair grading and happy customers*
The corners are NOT bashed just gently rubbed to the two at the opening, with the other two at the top and bottom of the spine remaining sharp and strong after all these years.
The spine is superbly clear and flat, with just some light rubbing.
The Apple to the back is RED-showing it to be the very first pressing...If you need more convincing than the end matricies as well as the Mothers and Stampers! Not often at all you get to see these up for sale!
AND CERTAINLY NOT OFTEN THEY COME UP IN THIS WONDERFUL CONDITION.
(One recently sold for over £150 and that was just for this album and not the set!)
Record Inner: NMint-! Die-cut plain white inner. No writing...
Gorgeous Example.
STILL BRIGHT WHITE
THE BOX SET CONSITS OF ALL ORIGINAL PIECES AND NOT LATER REPRODUCTIONS!
Outer Cover: VG(-). When taking the inner tray out of the outer cover, the cover still keeps it's shape-this is how I have photographed her. Now that's a good solid example! (most I have seen collapse when the inner tray support has been taken away).
To the front the pictures are lovely and clear-gorgeous sheen to the fully laminated outer cover. However, as you can see in the detailed images provided, there is extensive spidering to the laminate to the top and bottom of the outer cover, with some knocking and rubbing to the top and bottom and corners.
This is far from mint condition, but equally far from trashed.
NO WRITING
The back of the outer cover has the credit of..
"Designed By John Kosh Photographs by Ethan A Russell Printed and made in Great Britain by Garrod & Lofthouse Limited (Patents Pending)" to the bottom
***A VERY NICE AND COLLECTABLE COPY***
(AGAIN: PLEASE SEE THE DETAILED IMAGES FOR YOURSELVES-AND SEE MY FEEDBACK FOR POSITIVE REVIEWS AND HAPPY CUSTOMERS)
Inner Tray: G. It is all ORIGINAL! There is a fair amount of wear to the flip-over inner, with light creasing and a piece of around 16cm missing to one side.
The card where the book is housed comes in 3 pieces, but they re all there and possible for repair if you know what you are doing.
Again-this is AN ORIGINAL-It has not been swapped-out or replaced.
Hard to find these in any condition.
AGAIN-VERY CRITICAL HERE!
The Book: EX+! Brilliantly shiny cover WITHOUT crescents of spidering!!!
She is still solid, WITHOUT LOOSE PAGES!!
However, saying that-the spines top half needs a small amount of glue as the old original glue appears to have dried out-which was a typical failure for the production of this book and it's longevity.
BUT THE PAGES ARE NOT LOOSE
Gloriously glossy pictures with all their original color.
NO WRITING
ALL ORIGINAL AND COMPLETE
In this condition this book would sell for anything from £50 upwards!
OVERALL:
An ORIGINAL, COMPLETE & rare boxset from THE BEATLES.
Certainly one for the serious collector.
SOUNDS GREAT TOO
