Description

The Beatles - Please Please Me

(Parlophone PMC 1202 UK LP 1963)

This is a UK original 1963 LP pressing. In fact it is technically the third UK mono pressing - & perhaps the rarest UK mono pressing! It has a small "33 1/3" next to the "XEX 421/2" on both labels. This was the first UK pressing on yellow & black Parlophone labels. This label variation was only available to buy for a very brief period in 1963.

It has a front laminated flipback sleeve, which has a large mono on the front. The "Photo - Angus McBean" text starts at the very end of the "S" of the word "Songs" on the front. It has a polythene-lined Emitex inner sleeve. The record has yellow & black Parlophone labels which have "The Parlophone Co..." text. The matrix numbers are XEX 421-1N & XEX 422-1N. The mother stampers are RP 3 & GO 1 2. These are very rare - so don't miss out!

Sleeve: Sadly the sleeve has suffered some damage to the rear, at the bottom flipback area. The majority of the bottom flipback has torn away. It has caused some mild tears to the rear paper, & exposed some card too. Otherwise mild to moderate rubbing wear. Fair+ condition.

Vinyl: Light sleeve rubs that can be seen under a strong light, and the very occasional light marks. VG condition. The labels are nice and clean & show mild spindle wear. I have play tested this LP in its entirety & it plays near excellent! Really well indeed!

Grading adheres to “Record Collector” specifications. I shall use good quality packaging (proper vinyl mailers & two card dividers).

Insurance is necessary if this item exceeds £40. Overseas buyers will add £5.25 extra (plus an additional £2.50 if the item value exceeds £70).
