'PLEASE. PLEASE ME'
1963 UK 4th PRESSING **STEREO** LP
This rare 1963 STEREO pressing is on the UK black & yellow Parlophone label: PCS 3042
Both labels omit the 'Sold in UK..' text but carry 'Parlophone Co Ltd...' rims
The 'MZT' tax/price code is visible on the centre of the side 2 label.
Housed in a front laminated 'E.J. Day' cover bearing the large 'STEREO' logo.
Complete with its original polylined 'Use Emitex inner-sleeve.
Matrix numbers: YEX 94-1 & YEX 94-1
Stamper numbers: 1/GM & 1/L
Labels: VERY GOOD PLUS
Slight touch-up seems to have been applied at sometime to the centre holes, but they are still in good shape.
Visual: VERY GOOD PLUS
Very clean, bright and glossy surfaces undulled by groovewear or overplay.
Side one shows just a few light surface lines but nothing deep or feelable and no heavy scuffs or scratches.
Side two bears one 3cm scratch which I cannot feel, and a few lighter fingernail marks but has in no way been abused.
100% flat on the turntable without dishing or warping.
Audio: VERY GOOD PLUS
Super loud and clear sound quality with no groovewear distortion in either channel.
Both run-ins and bands play very quietly with minimal niose and without crackle.
The mark on side 2 makes a 'soft pop' from mid track 3 to the beginnning of track 6, but is not overwhelming and only audible intermittantly.
There is also a few seconds of hiss at the beginning of track 3 side 2 but this subsides quickly and the rest of the LP plays without fault.
All tracks play without any jumps, repeats or any other audible faults.
Cover: VERY GOOD PLUS
A clean and strong example of this rare cover which bears light to moderate handling and storage wear.
The front panel shows just three small 'thumbnails', some light creases to the lower edge and one heavier crease to the lower right corner.
The corners display light bruising but both the front and rear opening edges are clean, sharp and unworn with no 'feathering', tears or missing paper .
The rear panel is clean and white with just a few tiny stains on the lower flipback but no discolouration, marks or writing.
All the delicate flipbacks are all present and intact with no missing paper. The spine is clean and readable and all seams are strong, intact and unsplit.
