Description
Please Please Me Black + Gold Mono PMC 1202 as released on 22 March 1963 A very early pressing found in Liverpool with a grooved Side 2 indicating it came off one of the older pressing machines in use The groove is more prominent at the bottom half of the Record + almost disappears up the top of label ( see photo 2 ) The groove is only on side 2 + does not appear on Side 1 Side 2 has the very early mother stamp 1H Side 1 Mother is 2 GO MT Purcase Tax code to side 1 centre of label Both labels have the Dick James Credits. Photo Angus McBean credit is after the last S on Songs as it should be on the first issue sleeve All fold over is present but a split has been held together by sellotape to bottom edge Printed by EJ Day + Co Sleeve No writing anywhere on Record Sleeve Despite having the odd surface scratch plays very well please read condition report above. This was pressed on one of the old 1950`s machines that Parlophone were using at this time. I would think having come out of Liverpool it was bought by someone familiar with seeing them at The Cavern Posting Immediate Will post Worldwide USA + Japan costing £18 in Record Box Signed for + Insured
