Description
I am not a record dealer, i was left these records by my step dad, so i have listed these to the best of my ability after doing my best to understand the grading system with help of a friend who does have experience, i do believe i have been fair as i can in doing so.
Beatles Please Please me first press
This has all the usual 1st pressing credit errors of the 1st label black & gold Parlophone label hat incorrectly credited Dick James for the publishing rights on many tracks before the error was spotted and corrected for the 2nd black & gold press.
The sleeve is also a 1st press ‘Gold’ sleeve printed by Earnest J. Day Co. Ltd, can be identified by the"Photo: Angus McBean" credit alignment on the front bottom right corner, which begins where the "s" of songs end. On the second issue sleeves, the credit was moved further to the left aligning with the “g”.

i have been advised that "it has a cross over rare labels miscredit as you said on side 1 but side 2 is the correct variation label northern songs" .
- Record Condition VG
- after a 2nd clean i'm putting VG there is scuffing & you can hear quiet crackle and pops throughout the record mainly during the quite parts with the very occasional pop during louder parts
- Outer Sleeve fair to Good
- the sleeve is pretty bad there is a split halfway on the bottom, Sellotape has been used and there is a name in biro on the back plus the corners are pretty bad please see the photos
- Original Sleeve VG
- Small split, and discoloration throughout
- the record will be sent RM next day by 1pm and will be insured and signed for in a crucifix record box
