Beatles Please Please Me, Mono LP, 1st Press UK Gold & Black label ‘Dick James’ version.
Vinyl: EX. Very clean and shiny vinyl. The way it looks, this record has hardly been played. Vinyl would be graded even higher but there are a handful of annoying surface marks on either sides, plus one long surface arc, which is part surface mark part scratch on side 2 which goes over 4/5 tracks. To summarise: What you get therefore is almost perfect vinyl but with a few careless marks on it.
Cover: Standard Mono version. Older, heavier, EJ Day version. Condition VG++. Robust spine. A bit of the usual EJ Day unfolding of the flip-backs. The cover however is not the issue here, since this cover can easily be replaced with a better one which should be quite easy to find.
Labels: EX/EX both sides. Nice, shiny clear type. Please note this is the rarer ‘golder’ version (as opposed to the almost silver gold and black label version). No marks that I can see. No writing. Gold lettering clear. Some mild smudging on the lettering (see pix). Black background robust.
Tax code: Can’t find one anywhere.
