THE BEATLES: ‘PLEASE PLEASE ME’ – THIS IS AN ORIGINAL 1963 UK MONO VINYL LP - PMC 1202 – THIS IS THE RARE VARIANT WHICH OMITS THE WORDING ‘RECORDING FIRST PUBLISHED 1963’ LABEL TEXT
Featured here is an Original 1963 Beatles ‘Please Please Me‘ UK MONO Vinyl LP complete, and this RARE VARIANT omits the wording ‘Recording first published in 1963’ on the label text. The Vinyl LP is on the Black & Yellow Parlophone Record Label, with ‘The Parlophone Co Ltd’ label rim in upper case, and ‘Made in Gt Britain’ label text. The side 1 matrix is XEX 421-1N and the side 2 Matrix is XEX 422-1N. The side 1 stampers are: ‘2’, ‘AL’, and the side 2 stampers are: ‘1’, ‘HM‘ The Vinyl LP comes in an original Emitex Lined Inner Bag and is housed in an Original Laminated Garrod and Lofthouse Flip back sleeve.
Turning to the grading of this Original UK album, both sides of the record labels are in very bright excellent condition. The labels are very bright with only the faintest signs of any spider marks. The printed silver text is bright and unfaded. The previous owner’s name is hand written either side of the Yellow Parlophone Pound symbol on both sides of the record labels. Both sides of the Vinyl disc are graded in impressive excellent plus condition, bright, gleaming Vinyl showing only minimal and light surface hairlines, but certainly no major digs or scuffs. The laminated flip back sleeve is graded in excellent condition, a clean, firm and respectable sleeve, which has retained its full glossy laminate, showing a little light wear/bruising to three of the corners. The reverse of the sleeve is bright and firm and shows light age dis-colouration and light creasing to the top and bottom fold over flaps, but no handwriting. The spine is in great shape and the printed wording ‘Please Please Me – The Beatles is clearly readable! The Lined Emitex Inner bag too is in great shape, with no handwriting or tearing.
A RESPECTABLE example of this **COMPLETE** and **ORIGINAL** 1963 UK Beatles album. Issues omitting the wording ‘Recording first published in 1963’ seldom come into stock!
