Original 1966 US STEREO issue professionally peeled "Butcher Cover"
MINT condition

This is a very nice Original 1966 Stereo Butcher LP that was professionally peeled by Jim Hansen of Blue Jay Way Galleries. If you've been looking for a quality peeled original stereo Butcher Cover, this is it! Stereo butcher covers only account for about 10% of all the Butchers in circulation and nicely peeled stereo covers are even more scarce. This is a #2 cover (West Coast/Los Angeles) variation which is extremely hard to peel properly.

The Butcher surface itself has very little to detract from the the overall excellent presentation of this rare, controversial and collectible cover--just some minor horizontal striping from the application of the original factory glue, a few bumped corners and slight bend from the chemical peeling process. The title spine is almost all intact but shows cracking. The top and bottom spines have some splitting and paper loss but have been professionally repaired. The back cover is extremely clean and white. Overall this is a very displayable original Butcher with no tears, paper fiber remnants or major issues to detract from the top cover like so many other peeled covers that are offered for sale on Ebay.

In addition to the cover, this auction includes a matching West Coast LP in beautiful VG+ condition with MINT labels, the original West Coast "Capitol '66" yellow inner sleeve and a clean repro of the Capitol Butcher recall letter. The LP comes in a Discwasher-style Japanese rice-paper sleeve. The LP cover comes in a Japanese resealable sleeve.

This is one of the nicest West Coast peels that we have ever presented on Ebay.
