    For sale is a genuine Yesterday and Today, ‘second state’ Butcher Cover album by The Beatles. It was released in June, 1966 on Capitol Records. This jacket has the replacement trunk cover pasted over the original that shows the band in butcher smocks with chunks of raw meat and decapitated dolls strewn over them. There’s no question about the butcher slick being beneath the trunk as a portion of it is showing on the left near spine at bottom! Some collectors believe that this adds value as there’s no doubt to whether or not it’s truly a paste-over. Small #6 beside RIAA symbol on back indicates the L.A., CA pressing plant. These white jackets were typically prone to discoloration and this one shows signs of it too, mostly at bottom right with aging to back cover as well. Still quite presentable. Both seams are intact but thin. Most of spine type is missing / with paper loss. Appears to be repaired. A mono record is included and visually grades VG or so, showing scuffs & marks but none you can feel. It has not been play tested. However the cover is the star here. Comes with correct Capitol inner slv. Please view ALL pix as they are part of description.
      As a bonus we’re including a copy of the recall letter and a beautiful, hi-rez reproduction of the original butcher cover. These look great framed together.
