THE BEATLES - 'MAGICAL MYSTERY TOUR'
This superb 1st MONO double EP set dates from December 1967 release is on the black & silver solid centred Parlophone labels: MMT 1
All labels include the 'Sold in UK..' text & have upper case 'The Gramophone Co. Ltd...' rim texts.
The 'KT' purchase tax code is present in the centre of the side 4 label & in all run-outs.
Matrix numbers: 7XCE 18435-1/4-1 & 7XCE 18436-1/7-2
Stamper codes: 3/GMH, 13/GMR & 7/GMP, 12/GGR
The package is contained within a lavish outer laminated, bi-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed picture cover.
This contains a stapled 32-page colour booklet featuring photos & strip cartoon of the original story & a blue central lyric sheet.
Both discs were individually housed within plain white, fluted edges paper inner-sleeves.

A superb clean & unblemished set with a handful of light spindle trails around the centre holes of disc 1 but none whatsoever on either of disc 4.
Visual: Disc 1: NEAR MINT Disc 2: MINT
All playing surfaces are pristine and unmarked in strong daylight. Close examination directly beneath my unforgiving halogen desk lamp reveals a few harmless wispy paper hairlines on disc 1, however disc 2 is pristine & unmarked.
Sound Quality: Disc 1. NEAR MINT Disc 2. MINT
Hard to find a good sounding mono set, but this example is the exception to the rule. It is clear that only disc 1 has ever been played, and then sparingly. Apart from a trace of wear on 'Your Mother Should Know' everything plays flawlessly. Even the delicate 'Fool On The Hill' is free from the usual crackle and background interference which spoils so many copies of this great sounding mono set. You will not be disappointed.
Cover: EXCELLENT +
A vibrant, strong & glossy example which retains all of its high-gloss laminate front & rear. Every page inside is in perfect condition and the three centre staples are all undamaged and unrusted. The only trace of wear on this fabulous example are tiny rubs to the corner extremities. Not easy to upgrade.

Perfectly clean, white and 'as new'.
