LOVE ME DO / P.S. I LOVE YOU
During this week i am going to auction all my UNIQUE selection of The Beatles record collection.
All of this have become my private collection where they had been carrefully stored in a plastic cover for many years.
Most records are in EXCELLENT, MINT condition.

Ultra rare 1st pressing with "7XCE 17144 / 7XCE 17145 (no dash & no number)" hand etched into the dead wax.
The existence of this pressing was documented by Piers Hemmingsen in his book "The Beatles Canadian Discography (1962-1970):Part 1-45 RPM & Other Special 7" Discs".
Released on February 18, 1963, the first Beatles 45 released in North America under their name (days before "Please Please Me" on Vee Jay in the U.S.).
This is the version with Ringo Starr, not Andy White, on drums.
According to former Capitol Of Canada A&R head Paul White, only 170 copies were pressed in the first run, with 140 sold.
All subsequent pressings (which were not issued until late 1963) have a dash & a number following the matrix number.
Copies have sold for as high as $2500. One of the rarest Beatles 45s in existence.
"Issued on February 18, 1963.
This 45 is the first record issued in North America that was credited to "The Beatles".
The very first pressings of this rare record are normally identifiable by the large hand written matrix number (with no dash and number) hand etched in the trail off area.
This first pressing is extremely rare since, according to Paul white himself, a first run of only 170 copies were made.
The band not being famous yet, the 45 did not sell well; apparently only around 78 copies were sold out of those initial 170. Some or most of these early 1963 records were issued in a glossy black Capitol sleeve."
