The BEATLES 45. Canada Capitol iconic Orange/Yellow Swirl Labels. This record originally Issued in early 1963 from Canada. However this set of matrix numbers indicates 1964 pressing! This 45 Vinyl Condition is Goldmine EX. Mostly shiny with some light scuffs but labels fully clean and plays thru great. Great for 55 year old vinyl. No writing on labels, rare for records in 1963. A SUPER Collectable from Canada. Here are 2 songs from the early Beatles: LOVE ME DO ‘62 and PS I LOVE YOU. NOTE: for true aficionados, the matrix numbers on inner wax here are 17144-3 and 17145 (No dash or number on B side!!). This pair of songs was the Beatles FIRST single in UK on Parlophone in 1962, shipped to Canada and released as this single on Capitol in early 1963. This is the early version with Ringo on drums!! When Beatlemania hit in 1964, and sales skyrocketed, multiple extra pressing were made by Capitol, so there are MANY pressings with different matrix numbers!! Canada was one of about 6 countries to release the 1962 version rather than the LP cut called Love Me Do ‘63. That version first released when Parlophone issued the UK Please Please Me LP in March 1963. Love me do ‘62 was dropped and switched to the Andy White on drums version (a totally rerecorded version). Both sides are MONO as are all the Canada Capitol Beatles 45s until Get Back. Stereo did not become common on 45s till 1969!
