Description
This week, there are several MONO first pressing LP’s for sale. None of these are Near Mint, but none of these are below the very high end of VG. Most are VG+, and some are a beautiful VG++, dangerously close to NM. All of these copies would make either very nice first copies, many steps above filler copies, or else they will make great Christmas gifts for your collector who is missing any of these titles. Beatles LP The Beatles’ Story First Pressing MONO VG++/NM
Vinyl--- All 4 sides, under normal room lighting look completely unplayed, brand new NM. Under the bare bulb test, each side has a scant few very light, very short hairlines that appear. This set looks outstanding. The sides are configured as sides 1 and 4, and sides 2 and 3. Scranton.
Plates--- Record 1: P1/F1 Record 2: P1/G2
Cover--- Structurally solid. LP pocket 2 has a split just under one inch at the top right. Besides that, there are no other splits. There is no shelfwear. Front cover has light dirtwear to the right, under the Capitol logo. Back cover has light dirtwear, approaching moderate. Not bad. The cover overall, has yellowed some. The inner gatefold has about the same light to moderate dirtwear. The inner seam is perfectly solid, no splits. There is no ringwear anywhere on the cover. It’s all dirtwear.
Capitol Inner Sleeve--- Both blue, no splits.

(Please note that due to time constraints, I have had to stop play-testing my vinyl. However, I am happy to by request. As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.
